It is quite possible to prepare delicious coffee at home without a coffee maker or other modern equipment. You can use a regular cezve. The main thing is to choose the right cookware and strictly adhere to the instructions specified in the recipe.

Choosing a Turk

Making coffee in a Turk can be called a classic. The following materials are used to make the cezve:

  • copper;
  • brass;
  • aluminum;
  • stainless steel;
  • ceramics.

The volume of these dishes varies, but small Turks are especially popular. The best material is copper. This cezve heats up evenly, and due to its small size, the taste is fully revealed in it.

Aluminum containers heat up too quickly, which is extremely undesirable. Stainless steel cezves are also not the best option. They heat up unevenly. The highest temperature is observed in the center, and not high enough at the edges.

The disadvantage of ceramics is that it takes too long to cool down. When the dishes are removed from the stove, the foam continues to rise and there is a high chance that the liquid will spill on the table. In addition, such Turks are not suitable for induction cookers. They simply won't heat up.

Cooking in Turk

It's easy to brew coffee in a cezve. You need to do the following:

  1. Pour a teaspoon of coffee powder into a Turk and pour in 100 ml of water.
  2. Place the container on the stove.
  3. Add sugar (to taste) and a pinch of salt.
  4. Heat the liquid, but do not bring to a boil.
  5. When foam appears on the surface, remove the container from the stove.
  6. Place the dishes on the fire twice more and wait for the foam to rise.
