By the way, do not confuse vanilla, which is a 100% natural product, and vanillin, its synthetic substitute. That is, vanillin added to a cup of espresso does not give the drink the right to be called vanilla. But by mixing vanillin with sugar you can make vanilla sugar, which is widely used in cooking.

The spice has such a feature as a characteristic aroma that is difficult to confuse with any other smell. BUT! The spice releases its aroma only when heated. That is, you won’t be able to make vanilla iced coffee. You may get coffee, but without the original taste and aroma.

Classic recipe

The traditional recipe involves the use of Turka. Ingredients:

  • mineral water;
  • vanilla beans;
  • granulated sugar (to taste);
  • Arabica beans.

To make vanilla espresso, you first need to grind the coffee beans. For this it is recommended to use a special mill. When the raw materials are ready, pour them into the Turk. Also add sugar if you are using it. Fill everything with water.

You need to cook the drink over low heat, otherwise it will have a burnt taste. When the liquid begins to boil, add spiced grains to the container. You should not add them in advance, as in this case the drink will not have a rich sweetish aroma.

As soon as fluffy foam rises to the top of the container, turn off the heat. The cream should settle in less than 1 minute. Then resume simmering. Repeat the action twice.

Sugar is added to coffee to taste. Pour the espresso into thick-walled cups. The drink should be drunk hot.


The most common and laconic way to prepare vanilla coffee, which does not require any additional ingredients.

  • 1-2 tsp. freshly ground coffee beans;
  • 200 ml water;
  • 2-3 vanilla beans;
  • sugar.

This cocktail is brewed with a creamy base. To prepare it you need:

  • vanilla pod;
  • Arabica beans;
  • mineral water;
  • heavy cream;
  • sugar to taste.

First you need to prepare the main raw material - Arabica. The grains should be washed under running water, peeled and dried. You will then need to use a mill to turn them into powder.

Combine the mixture with granulated sugar and spices. Fill the Turk with the mixture. Fill with water. Place the container on low heat. Its contents should simmer for several minutes. When a lush “hat” rises to the top, remove the Turk from the stove.

Before straining the finished vanilla Raf coffee, take care of the cream. They need to be heated and beaten. To do this, it is better to use a whisk rather than a blender.

Fill the glass with the drink and then with the milk component. If you wish, you can decorate the composition with nutmeg.

How to make real coffee

To get a truly tasty drink, you must strictly follow the technology of its preparation. The process of preparing it is simple, the main thing is to observe the proportions and sequence of actions. Everyone loves coffee for its unique aroma and taste, which is achieved through the use of only natural ingredients when brewing it.

Truly delicious coffee cannot be made from instant powder and artificial vanillin; it must be freshly ground coffee beans and natural spices. But natural vanilla is an expensive pleasure; in extreme cases, it can be replaced with high-quality vanilla sugar or vanilla syrup.

With cognac and liqueur

Preparing such a cocktail is an excellent solution for a Friday evening that ends the work week. A mixture of cognac and vanilla liqueur will help you relax and improve your mood.

First you need to brew classic espresso. To do this, fill the Turk with ground grains, sugar (if you are using it) and water. Stir the mixture so that it does not burn.

Now we need to move on to other components. Mix vanilla liqueur with cognac. Stir the mixture well until it becomes homogeneous.

Pour espresso into the cup first, and then the second preparation. To prevent the drink from going to your head, drink it after 5-10 minutes. During this time, the alcohol vapor will partially disappear.

Cooking classics

To make real vanilla coffee you need the following ingredients:

  • fresh ground coffee (6 tsp)
  • sugar (6 tsp)
  • vanilla sugar (1 tsp). If you don’t have it ready-made, you can make it yourself by mixing regular sugar with vanilla.

Vanilla sugar needs to be mixed with regular sugar, but do not mix it with ground grains (yet). Pour the raw materials into the pot and fill it with cold water (3 cups). There is no need to boil the liquid. Just heat until foam appears on the surface. The finished mixture, without straining, must be poured into cups or glasses made of special thick-walled glass and only now add the pre-prepared sugar combination.
